CALL TO ORDER:|
The meeting was called to order at 5:02 pm at the City of Mercer Island Caucus Room, 9611 SE 36th Street, Mercer Island, WA.
Commissioners Blakney & King, Police Chief Holmes, Police Commander Jokinen.
Absent: Commissioner Hill, Chief Examiner Segle, Fire Chief Tubbs, Police Commander Burns, Deputy Fire Chief Heitman, and Personnel & Training Sergeant Hyatt.
Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes – The Commission reviewed the minutes of the meetings of May 12, 2009.
MOTION: Moved by King and seconded by Blakney to approve the minutes of July14, 2009 as submitted. Motion carried.
Personnel Orders – There were none.
Police and Fire Rosters – There were no changes.
Certification of Entry-Level Police Officer Eligibility List – 180 days versus 90 days –Chief Holmes requested that the Commission extend the Entry-Level Police Officer Eligibility List from 90 days to 180 days.
MOTION: Moved by King and seconded by Blakney to extend the Entry-Level Police Officer Eligibility List from 90 days to 180 days. Motion carried.
