Erin spoke to the success of the Parkinson’s Dance program that the Arts Council brought forward and the Parks & Recreation Department has taken on as one of its offerings. She urged the Arts Council to continue to support the program, possibly monetarily. It was suggested that 4Culture and/or Rotary might have grant money available, or that the Arts Council could bring back their grant program which was discontinued several years ago. The Chair asked Erin to bring it up at the upcoming retreat.
Indoor Gallery, Amy Barnes, Co-Chair
Request for volunteers to help hang the first show of 2018 on Saturday, January 6. Jessica Prince volunteered.

Ad Hoc Committee Report:
Matt Lome – Community Dance
The VFW has determined that they do not want to utilize the Community Dance as a fundraiser. Kai and Matt will get together to discuss partnering with an outside organization to handle the bar. It was felt that an outside event planner would not be needed and that the dance would be doable with Arts Council members and two staff members. Joy Langley will check with MIPA and/or the JCC about making child care available.
Staff Report: Kai Fulginiti Banner Update - The banners will be presented for approval at the January 23rd City Council meeting.
Arts Council Retreat - A poll was sent out with three possible dates for the January Arts Council Retreat. Several members have not yet replied, but at present it looks like it will be January 13 from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm. Kai will confirm once a few more responses come in.
Sculpture Garden Plaques – The plaques have been shipped.
Rippling Waters Sculpture by Ingrid Lahti – Still awaiting final approval from DSG.
Bob Wiley Totem Donation – A field trip to the Wiley residence to view the totem can be scheduled. Anyone interested in going should let Kai know.
