On Saturday July 17 0900-1200 and Tuesday July 20 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM individuals with experience in engineering, architecture, inspection and/or strong construction experience are invited to attend one of the following meetings to become a member of Building Damage Assessment Team at Mercer Island. It is the objective of this meeting to provide the background and information necessary for you to check-in at the Emergency Operations Center and immediately be able to perform the necessary building assessments with your team members. The presented information intends to provide knowledge of the hazard assessment process, operations, equipment, reports, policies, and other information necessary so that you will be confident when performing volunteer building assessments and associated tagging.
For your convenience, this training will be offered at either of two dates:
July 17, 2010 – 9:00 AM to Noon; or
July 20, 2010 – 5 PM to 8 PM
Both meetings will be located in the City Council Chambers at Mercer Island City Hall (located at 9611 SE 36th Street, Mercer Island, WA 98040).
Pizza, salad, and beverages will be provided.
Please confirm your interest to serve on the Building Damage Assessment Team and please RSVP which of the two meetings you would like to attend. After this initial meeting, you will be invited to an annual meeting as a refresher and update of the building damage assessment process.
