Cancellation/Refund Policies
RECREATION CLASS REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
A full refund/credit, less the $10.00 administrative fee will be refunded if a participant requests a refund a minimum of five (5) business days before a class is scheduled to begin. The $10.00 administrative fee is assessed per registrant per class. Deposits for day camps are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- For day camps, a refund/credit less deposit or administrative fee will be granted if withdrawal is received at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of camp.
- For adult sports leagues, a refund/credit less deposit or administrative fee will be granted if withdrawal is received at least three (3) weeks prior to the start of first league game.
- A 100% refund will be made if a class is cancelled by the Mercer Island Parks and Recreation Department.
- Class withdrawal requested less than five (5) business days prior to the start of the class will result in a credit/refund of 50% of the registration fee less a $10.00 administrative fee.
- No refunds for classes costing less than $10.00.
- No refunds/credits will be issued after class has started.
PARK AND PICNIC SHELTER REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellations must be made at least seven (7) working days prior to the date of your reservation to receive a refund, less a $10.00 administrative fee.
- If cancellation is made less than seven (7) working days prior to the date, no refund will be issued.
- If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels the reservation for any reason, a full refund will be given.
- No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
ATHLETIC FIELD REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellations must be made at least 5 business days prior to a scheduled booking to receive a full refund less a $10.00 administrative fee.
- If cancellation is made less than 5 business days prior to your scheduled booking no refund will be issued.
- If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels or declares a rainout, user groups will be rescheduled, refunded, or not billed, whichever applies.
- For a credit to be issued to a user group a “Credit Request Form” needs to be filled out and turned into the Parks and Recreation Office.
COMMUNITY CENTER AT MERCER VIEW REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Mercer Room (Multi-Purpose Room) A $75.00 cancellation fee for reservations canceled 90 days prior to the reservation date. Cancellations made less than 90 days before your reserved date, will result in the loss of your damage deposit. Program/Meeting Rooms and Gymnasium A $25.00 cancellation fee for reservations canceled prior to 14 days before the reservation date. Cancellations made less than 14 days before your reserved date, will result in the loss of your rental fees or deposit, whichever is greater. Date Changes Transferring your rental date will be treated as a cancellation. Please see cancellation policy above.
