The Hitmen have been delivering high energy dance music for audiences at benefits, festivals, fairs, concerts, nightclubs, corporate events, weddings, and other private functions for over 14 years. The unique musical background of the 6-piece band mix their abilities and experiences to create and perform a musical dance review that transcends musical boundaries. The Hitmen play a variety of hits from the 70's to modern day favorites.


8:30pm to 10:00pm - "The Way Cool Band"
The Way Cool Band can perform your favorite songs - requests are always welcome - from the “Baby Boomer” era; a variety of classic pop with music ranging from 1950’s Rock & Rollers like Presley, Orbison and the Everlys, 1960’s icons like the Beatles, Rolling Stones & Beach Boys, mega stars of the 1970’s like the Eagles, Eric Clapton & Steve Miller as well as 80’s popsters like Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty & The Travelling Willberries; and today’s artists like James Blunt. www.thewaycoolband.com

Children’s Activities
7pm to Dark: Children’s inflatable rides and Uncle Stinky’s magic shop and novelties will all be on hand to provide fun for kids. Prices for inflatable rides: $7.00 unlimited rides or $2.00 for a single ride ticket. Weekend “Everything Pass” includes unlimited rides in Mercerdale and the Fireworks show for $28.00 (includes train rides at Mercerdale Park). Wristbands are on sale at the Community Center at Mercer View to help avoid standing in lines, from July 1st through July 9th ...also available for purchase at the festival.

FREE!  Fireworks
The evening festivities at Luther Burbank Park are highlighted by the spectacular Fireworks show. Western Display Fireworks will launch a 20 minutes fireworks show filled with surprises and special effects off a barge floating on Lake Washington. To help celebrate the City of Mercer Island’s 50th Birthday, the fireworks show in 2010 will be bigger and better than ever before. The fireworks will conclude with a fantastic grand finale. Fireworks will launch at dark, between 10:00pm and 10:15pm.
