Uncle Stinky

Uncle Stinky’s Magic Show, Fireworks Stage grassy area
Long time, favorite Summer Celebration magic vendor, Uncle Stinky (aka Jonathan Docter) is much more than just a magic shop. Uncle Stinky is a professional musician who performs for camps, fairs, private events and stage shows. This year, we are thrilled to have Uncle Stinky perform a magic show for us in addition to hosting his magic shop at both the main festival and fireworks celebration at Luther Burbank Park. Everyone has that “trickster uncle” who does gags, right? Uncle Stinky has a special ability to teach tricks to his audience after fooling them himself. He is always prepared, carrying tricks for all ages at prices that beat a typical magic shop. Visit his booth to learn hands on tricks and then watch his show to see how it is done by a professional magician!

8:00 - 10:15 pm
Ian Dobson's Pan Leggo

Ian Dobson's Pan Leggo, Fireworks Stage
Ian Dobson's Steel Drum Party show takes the audience on a tropical vacation.  These musicians are world music experts bringing the tropics to frozen communities like Mercer Island for over twenty years.  Ian sings, dances and plays steel drums, ukulele, marimba, and percussion while answering the question of how a Seattle grunge kid ends up playing tropical music for a living. As he recounts his quirky musical journey taking the audience on an interactive musical tour of the Islands and putting them into an island state of mind.   From Hawaiian to calypso to salsa and reggae; jazz and rock to classical. They bring more than just music, come enjoy a complete tropical party experience!
