Mercer Island's Dine Local Campaign
Due to Public Health regulations, many food-related businesses on the Island experienced multiple days of closure during the Sept 2014 Boil-Water Advisory. Although about half of them were able to operate under a limited-menu option, revenues truly suffered. The City has helped facilitate access to low-interest disaster assistance loans.
In partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, the City has also launched the "Dine Local" campaign. Residents are asked to support these critical businesses that help make the Island such a livable community. Let's all make a difference together and keep much-needed foot traffic going to our Mercer Island restaurants.
One of the best ways to help is to organize a Dine Out Day for your school, service organization, club, church, work group, etc. On that day your group will eat lunch and/or dinner somewhere on the Island.
