Mercer Island Artist Directory

gallery photo        gallery photo

Historically, Mercer Island has been home to a large community of talented visual and performing artists and their supporters. In keeping with this tradition, the Mercer Island Arts Council, with the help of other local arts organizations, is developing an online directory of Mercer Island Artists. The directory will increase the visibility of Mercer Island artists by providing potential clients with a tool to research the services provided by local visual and performing artists.

The directory is divided into the following categories: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Art Resources and Organizations, Wearable Art, Literary Art, and Galleries.

Directory Submissions:  If you are interested in being included in the directory please complete an online form. Contact information such as your email, a link to your website, a brief description of your work as well as a sample photographs may be included at your discretion.

If you have any questions regarding the Directory of Artists you may contact Rene Stratton at mioutdoorgallery@mercergov.org.

I’m inspired by nature’s abundant colors, shapes, and life forms… the sea in morning light, a waterfall, a bird taking flight. At times, I use my photographs to create multilayered imagery and I enjoy printing on different surfaces like watercolor paper, silk, and aluminum.

My oil and acrylic painting on canvas and gicl?e prints evoke themes of beauty in nature, a moment captured and humor as an antidote to the challenges in the world around me. My aspiration is to bring delight and healing to people through my art.
