As City employees and public servants to the Mercer Island community, we conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity and we strive to do what is best in the publicís interest. An Employee Code of Ethics guides employees and supports a culture based on transparency, honesty, integrity, and commitment.
Many of our employees are also guided by ethical codes and standards unique to their professions. Listed below are professions that have specific codes of ethics or rules of professional conduct.
The City takes violations of its Code of Ethics seriously. If you would like to report a violation or complaint of a City employee or official, please contact the City Manager, City Attorney or Mayor at (206) 275-7660.
