We provide services that include permit intake and issuance, plan review, code enforcement, and field inspections. Some of the permits we handle are new single family residences, tenant improvements, signs, new commercial/retail/multi-family projects, plumbing, electrical and mechanical. Eighty percent of the team's work is the review, issuance and inspections for single family residential permits, many within critical lands. The team is also responsible for review of multi-family, shoreline and commercial development projects. In addition the team will play an important role in the building construction review and inspection of major public projects.

The Development Services Group is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are located in City Hall at 9611 S.E. 36th Street on Mercer Island.
