Planning Commission
The Mercer Island Planning Commission was established in 1960 as an advisory board to the City Council with the responsibility for review of plats, rezones, conditional use permits, and other land use matters within the City. See MICC 3.46.
Seven citizens comprise the Commission which is staffed by the Community Planning & Development Department. Members are appointed to four-year terms by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Click here to view the Planning Commission's bylaws (adopted July 20, 2016)

Mercer Island Planning Commission 2017
The Planning Commission's regularly scheduled meetings are on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers in the City Hall.
