Call to Order
The special meeting was called to order by Chair Erin Vivion at 5:38 pm at Mercer Island Community & Event Center, 8236 SE 24th Street, Mercer Island, WA 98040.

2020 Budget Report – Sarah Bluvas
$39,670 remains in the Arts Council’s 2020 operational budget.
Committee Appointments – Erin Vivion
Chair Vivion e-mailed individual members about committee chair appointments, and Bluvas distributed committee appointments. Vivion would like committees to move more in the direction of collaborative working groups, which the board can discuss more at the upcoming retreat.
2020 Meeting Calendar – Sarah Bluvas
Bluvas distributed the 2020 meeting calendar. The 2020 retreat will take place February 12, 5-9 pm.
Artists on the Water Project Update – Erin Vivion and Staff
Vivion and staff reported project progress for the Artists on the Water event taking place on Friday, March 27, 2020. Board members requested the event name change to Art on the Water.
Other Business – All
Deputy Mayor Nice asked the board to prepare a gift to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mercer Island’s Sister City relationship with Thonon les Bains, France. Bluvas and Vivion will finalize needs in time to send with the delegation traveling to France in February.
