Snow and Roads Update (Feb 8)
Feb 8, 2019 - (7:00pm) The predicted snowstorm is underway, with approximately 4-6” still the expected total through Saturday afternoon, and several more inches possible Sunday night into Monday.
Temperatures will be very cold Saturday night, in the teens, so please check on your neighbors and keep an eye on outdoor pets.
The City’s Emergency Operations Center is coordinating the event: crews on 24/7 shifts are out plowing and will be focused on that task for the next 24-36 hours. The City asks that residents remain patient and avoid driving as much as possible – this will greatly assist snowplow operations. If you must drive: Go Slow in the Snow...
Service requests for sand/salt can be submitted online via MI-Connect, but response times will be delayed due to higher priority activities.
