Fireworks Rules And Safety On July Fourth

June 30, 2020 - July Fourth is just around the corner, and with mostly dry weather expected for the weekend, many people across the region are likely to discharge fireworks at home.

"Safe and Sane" fireworks are still allowed on Mercer Island, but may be used on one day ONLY: July 4 (Saturday) from 11:00am-11:00pm. Only legal devices may be used, and fireworks are NEVER allowed in City parks or on School District land.

Please know the rules, stay safe, and clean up afterwards! There are no public fireworks shows this year and gatherings larger than 5 people (from outside your household group) are still prohibited per Governor Inslee’s Safe Start COVID Recovery Order. Masks are required statewide in public outdoor settings when 6-foot distancing is not possible.
