City Hall Low Impact Development (LID) Retrofit Demonstration Project

75% from Ecology FY2011 Stormwater Retrofit and LID Grant
25% from 2011-12 CIP Stormwater Fund (City match)
This project planned to install LID facilities at City Hall to improve stormwater runoff quality to Lake Washington and promote the application of LID techniques by serving as an educational opportunity.
The installation would retrofit the existing asphalt parking lot with rain gardens, permeable pavers and walkways, and a cistern to hold and reuse rain water.

Project status:
A preliminary design was completed. Click here to see a PDF poster of the design. Residents and City staff were encouraged to provide comments and feedback by 4/20/2012.

NOTE: Ultimately, this project was not implemented and the grant money was returned to Dept of Ecology.
