Parks & Facilities
Mercer Island has 475 acres of parks and open spaces. Mercer Island Parks are open for your enjoyment daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, though we ask that you please observe posted seasonal and special circumstance restrictions.
Mercer Island public facilities have been designated to support strong community values and to improve livability by providing and promoting quality facilities, leisure, cultural and social services.
The Parks and open spaces on the Island are the perfect location for a variety of activities like; baseball, soccer, volleyball, throwing a frisbee, flying a kite, having a picnic or taking a walk with the family.

Aubrey Davis Park Master Plan
The City of Mercer Island is currently leading a master planning process for Aubrey Davis Park; a 2.8 mile long facility that stretches from east to west across the island and includes well known Island icons such as the Lid Park, The Greta Hackett Sculpture Gallery, the Mountains to Sound Trail and the Boat Launch.
The purpose of the master plan is to express a long term vision for the park, trail and open spaces. The park was built in 1990 and is facing a number of challenges. You can help shape the future of this treasured community park by participating in online discussions, community surveys and in person open houses. For more information, visit the Aubrey Davis Park Master Plan project page at LetsTalk.mercergov.org/AubreyDavis.
