COVID-19 Resources for Artists + Arts & Culture Organizations

Are you an artist or arts & culture organization that has been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak? Or a Mercer Island community member interested in donating to the arts sector during this time? Below is a list of relief resources compiled by the Mercer Island Arts Council.

National Endowment for the Arts CARES Act Grant Open to:
Nonprofits, state/local government agencies, and tribal communities/tribes that conduct work that helps advance the NEA's mission; eligible applicants must've received a NEA grant in one of the last four years. More eligibility requirements here.

Purpose:
CARES Act funding via the NEA to help arts and culture entities/their employees endure the economic hardships caused by forced closures due to the COVID-19 emergency.

ArtsWA CARES Act Relief Grants Open to:
Washington State arts nonprofits and fiscally sponsored groups/organizations

Purpose:
Rapid-response funding for organizations facing financial hardship due to economic impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic; funding provided by the CARES Act via the National Endowment for the Arts.

4Culture Cultural Relief Fund

King County residents

Purpose:
Individual cultural workers and cultural organizations

ArtsFund COVID-19 Relief Fund

Participants in ArtsFund's Cultural Partners Network and who are based within or doing work in King County

Purpose:
One-time, immediate relief grants for arts organizations negatively impacted by COVID-19

Professional artist residents of the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia)

Any artist in any discipline who has been impacted by COVID-19 related cancellations and closures

Purpose:
Short-term relief for basic needs and necessities

Half of the proceeds will be used to provide artists on a first-come, first-serve basis with a one-time, no-questions-asked stipend of $200
