The Saving Water Partnership is a group of water utilities in King County working together to conserve water. The City of Mercer Island is a member of the Partnership.

What to do During a Water Shortage
Best ways you can help the City conserve water during emergencies....
- Don't do laundry
- Don't run the dishwasher
- Don't wash the car or pressure wash your patio/driveway
- Don't irrigate lawns/gardens
- Don't refill pools, hot tubs, fountains
- Try to keep showers short
- Try to limit toilet flushing to solid waste only
- Consider using compostable/disposable tableware to avoid clean up
- Consider staying a night with friends off-Island if you have high water needs
