Plan Review Troubleshooting

 

If you are having trouble accessing your plan review comments, try the following: 

 

Tip #1.   Download the file to your computer.

  • You will not be able to view comments in your web browser. 
    • When you click the link to the shared review file, it will automatically open in your web browser.  To be able to view the comments you will need to download the file locally, save it, and re-open the pdf using an Adobe Product.  
  • Comments will not display clearly on most phones or tablet style devices.  Plan to use a computer to view and reply to comments.

Tip #2.  Open the file in an Adobe product to view and reply to comments.  

  • Files must be opened in an Adobe product to access comments, add replies, or publish comments.
  • The most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC can be downloaded at get.adobe.com.

Tip #3.  Ensure you have the most up-to-date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  • If you are still having trouble after reviewing Tip #1 and Tip #2, it may be time to download the latest version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.  This will ensure that you have the most current Adobe version.  You should be able to view and reply to plan review comments in any current version of Adobe Acrobat – either the professional product or the free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. 

Tip #4.  Verify that you have entered the correct username and password.

  • All users of this system enter the same username and password to access review comments.  Do not use a personalized username or password.  Use the following credentials:
  • The first time you access this system, you will enter the credentials two times.  Once to open the plan in your web browser, and then again to open the plan in Adobe.
  • If username and password are entered incorrectly, you may need to manually clear cookies to re-enter a username and password.

Tip #5.   Click the “Check for New Comments” button.

  • If you are viewing the file in Adobe but can still not see the comments, click on the “Check for New Comments” button.  You will find this button on the right side of the yellow bar across the top of the page.  Clicking this button will push Adobe to retrieve the plan review comments from our MIePlan server.
  • If comments disappear from the file, download the file again from the original link provided (via email) and open in Adobe to reconnect to the MIePlan server.
